1. Please take the time to check grades for your advisory students and encourage/assist them with assigning themselves to Liberty Hour.

2. Have students complete one more Action Sheet check-in to evaluate their progress in the goals they set earlier this year.

3. Plan a celebration for the upcoming final advisory meeting!

3. Today during Advisory the Advanced Placement Pre-Admin Session is taking place in the Little Theater. You may have students enrolled in AP courses this year that need to attend this session. They should check in with you first, but if in doubt you can check their schedule to make sure they are currently enrolled in an AP course.

April 2: ACT Testing

Everything ACT
  1. Go to office to pick up ACT packets and supplies by 7:45
  2. Report to your assigned room for testing by 7:55
  3. Students need to put cell phones in bags, and bags need to be placed in front of room
  4. Students cannot access bags at break or at all during ACT
  5. Start ACT by 8:30
  6. No one can be admitted once test begins 
  7. Remind students to be quiet during break as other rooms may be testing
  8. Go to lunch at 11:40

Tuesday, March 12th

ACT Registration


Morning of Tuesday, March 12th:
  • Pick up materials from Sara Wickham’s office between 7:45 and 8:00 am on Tues, March 12th
  • Verify that you have all materials
    • ACT Registration packet for each student
    • Taking the ACT booklet for each student
    • Notice of Testing Location for each student
During Advisory on Tuesday, March 12th:
  • Review the ACT PowerPoint with students
  • Read the script in booklet and have students complete the registration packet - bubble well!
  • Direct students to keep the Taking the ACT booklet
  • Distribute the notification letters with testing location and reminders for test day


After Advisory on Tuesday, March 12th:
  • Arrange testing packets in alphabetical order by last name; place blank registration folders for absent students on top
  • Highlight the names of absent students on the roster provided on the folder
  • Return materials to Sara Wickham’s office immediately after advisory 

Tuesday, March 5

TODAY'S ADVISORY GOALS

1. Check in with students regarding their progress towards the goals they mapped out on paper at the beginning of the semester. Encourage them to note any progress or adjustments they may need to make in order to reach their goal.

2. Pass out the PT Conference Goals worksheet to students to complete. These were in your mailboxes this morning. Collect the forms at the end of advisory and turn them in to Lois Magnuson in the guidance office.

3. Remind students of the upcoming ACT and share the ACT Site Link with them. The ACT site has several preparation tools including the ACT Academy to help them prep for the ACT in April.
